During a special presentation evening Ian Cawsey MP and Karen Haase FBDO, Co-Owner of Michael James Opticians, presented a cheque for £1220.45 to Adele Earl from Epilepsy Research.

Garrey Haase MCOptom told the invited guests how Michael James Opticians had managed to raise the money. This was done through a series of open days, a balloon race and an encounter with the Star-Wars Storm troopers. Garrey also ran the Great north run and the practice donated half of the fees generated from the open days to this most worth-while cause.

Michael James Opticians would like to thank everyone who supported them throughout 2009 and look forward to their continued support for 2010's charity.
