When it comes to vision correction, the choice of lenses can be overwhelming. Technology has improved dramatically in recent years and there is now a wealth of amazing products on the market. Lenses are now much thinner, flatter and optically superior. Plastic lenses even thinner than glass ones are now available, with the added advantage of increased safety and lightness, making them an increasingly popular choice.

At michael James Opticians, we only sell the best branded lenses - Nikon and Rodenstock.

The choice of lenses available may appear endless, so we have tried to explain some of the variants to make your choice easier.

Single Vision and Varifocal lenses come in a variety of thicknesses, as well as lenses which change in different light conditions. All lenses can be supplied with an anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating.
